Hello all! If anyone is interested I'm documenting the development process of my first game as I work through the book. I've just finished reading chapter 8 and implementing the concepts covered. My game is a clone of the arcade classic "Breakout." Take a look and let me know what you think! Thank you.

I'm not a very good game player so other opinions on the game play would be more helpful. My general gameplay comments are:

Entertains well.
Colors are good.
Need a splash screen.
Need an instructions page.
Replay page is "crooked." Recheck the text layout.
The default paddle control speed was too fast for me. (But I'm slow in so many ways.)

Technicals:
Memory leak of Menu::fontCK.

thanks

- tim

Thank you for the feedback, Tim! I was wondering where that memory leak was and will look into it next time. I've made a few improvements already that haven't yet gone live (powerups/powerdowns, more audio cues, a message for when level has been cleared). I'm planning on working on it later today and will make it available (hopefully with even more improvements).

I'm also using my short break from school to try to finish reading the book. I'm on chapter 9 learning about message dialogs. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter, because I plan on making my next project an isometric game.

Thanks,
Nick
