Perfect little application for converting sprites into spritefonts, load any font into it, set your settings and export!
- May require some editing with photoshop though.

Is anybody going to give me his/her opinion on which method would work best for me?

I am planning on creating my own font from scratch. I want it to be nice because it will last virtually forever and I want to have both the raster and vector version of it. The reason for wanting both is that I need the vector image for it to be used in Microsoft Word and write the instruction manual with it (the manual that comes with the game  ) and the bitmap image for the game itself.

Would it be best to

(1) draw my font with Paint/Gimp/Photoshop and have a HUGE-size letters (for high quality) and then transform the raster image into vector image with software (Inkscape, etc)

(2) draw my font with Inkscape and then go from vector to raster image with software (SpriteFont2, etc)

I know it's a silly question but I'd like to make sure that I am on the right track before embarking into a very long journey such as the one of making a font from scratch only to find out two weeks later that I have to start all over again. :)

Thanks,
Cla

I'll chime in with my $0.02 worth. I would design it with vector software. Just remember what my advice cost if it turns out to be wrong :|
